Tovwirane Organization in partnership with Engenderhealth with support from the US Government Department of State is implementing the “Essential GBV Prevention and Services Project” in Mzimba District. The project is being implemented in Traditional Authority Kampingo Sibande and Traditional Authority Chindi. The project duration is one year and eight months (2018-2019).
Aim of the Project
The project aims at decreasing GBV incidences and increasing the coordination of multi-sectoral responders.
Objectives of the Project
The project has 3 main objectives which are:
(1) To strengthen civil society and government coordination for GBV prevention and response;
(2) To strengthen linkages between and among multi-sectoral actors and improve overall legal response to GBV; and
(3) To increase the number of men and women reached by GBV prevention programming to address social and gender norms and justification of violence.
